JOHN C. FLANIGAN is “of counsel” to The Flanigan Law Firm. He is the former Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors of the California Housing Council, a coalition of the state's largest owners and operators of multi-family housing complexes. In the early 1980s, he was a development director for R&B Development. From 1985 to 1992, he was the Vice President of Public Affairs of the Irvine Company, one of the nation's largest land developers and community planners. During his thirty year career in California, Jack Flanigan has developed a reputation as one of the senior public affairs strategists in the state. In 1992, he was the state co-chair of the Bush/Quayle California campaign. In 1988 and 1992, he was a member of the national finance committee for Bush/Quayle. He also has served in numerous campaign capacities for various California gubernatorial and senatorial campaigns. |

He has been a delegate from California to three national Republican conventions. He is the former Executive Director of the Coro Foundation in Los Angeles. Later, he also served on the Coro National Board of Governors. In 1991, he was appointed as a member of the President's Commission on White House Fellowships. He is a founding board member of the California Mentor Foundation and also serves on the Board of Directors of Athletes and Entertainers for Kids. In addition to his community activities, he is also one of the founders of California Strategies. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of SuperShuttle International. Flanigan graduated from San Diego State University where he served as Student Body President in 1967. He received his law degree from Boalt Hall at the University of California, Berkeley and has been an active member of the California State Bar since 1975. He is a registered lobbyist with the State of California. |
