SHAUN T. FLANIGAN joined the firm in 2007 as a legislative advocate. Prior to joining the firm, he served as chief of staff for Assembly Republican Leader George Plescia, where he acted as senior advisor on all political issues. As chief of staff, he was also the principal liaison between the Assembly Republican Leader and the 32 Republican assembly members and the offices of the other leaders in the Assembly and Senate. From 2003 to 2006 he served in several other capacities for Assemblyman Plescia, including as legislative director and capitol director.

He has also worked as the campaign field director for Bonnie Garcia for State Assembly. While living in Washington, D.C., he worked as a political consultant for American Continental Group, Inc and as a legislative analyst for R.J. Reynolds.

He is a graduate of the San Diego State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in English. He is a registered lobbyist with the State of California
