Firm History
The Flanigan Law Firm was established in 1991 by Tim and Terry Flanigan after years of experience as successful lawyers and lobbyists. Mike Flanigan joined the firm in the mid-1990s, bringing with him a wealth of experience in legislative advocacy. Shortly thereafter, Jack Flanigan, a highly-respected political strategist and government relations expert, joined the firm. Katherine Brandenburg, a registered lobbyist with a respected track record in and around the capitol, has been with the firm since its inception. The addition of Ryan Flanigan, who recently worked in key positions in the California Legislature, brings an even stronger connection to the senior legislative staff members and consultants who are so crucial to the legislative process.
The Flanigan Law Firm is respected across party lines and is widely considered a leader in its field. It has been recognized by The Wall Street Journal and The Capitol Weekly for its expertise. It has also consistently been awarded an AV-rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the respected national legal directory and rating service. The AV-rating is the highest score granted to a law firm for its ethical standards and professional expertise.
